Hi Guys
Well this is my first ever blog so not sure really what Im supposed to do, but here goes. At 67 I can do a lot on my laptop, but as I say I have never blogged before.
The picture above is from my very first craft fair in Dec 2015.
Heres a good crafting tip...
I make decorative pillar candles(amongst other things) and a great tip of mine is to heat the underside of a night light(the silver bit) with a candle lighter and press into the top of the pillar candle. Do this carefully several times to melt the candle at the top as you push the night light in.
If you keep the flame under the night light too long then the sides of the night light will be to hot to handle. Best to use tweezers to lift the night light silver case onto the top of the pillar candle, then press lightly either side of the case down onto the candle. Eventually the night light will sit in the pillar candle and then you can light the night light and not the candle. That way you can keep the candle for as long as needed.
Its really nice when you decorate a candle with a photo of your loved ones... lovely gift to keep.
Let me know how well Ive done with me first Blog...and hope to see you at one of the craft fairs.
All The Best
Pauline
