Origami jewellery

Origami jewellery

Made my first sets of earrings today and Im very happy with them. Two pairs are made from double sided origami paper and the red and gold ones from some rather nice wrapping paper that some perfume came wrapped in.
They should be fairly durable as once I had finished them and put in the fittings to attach the ear-wire to, I put a coating of a clear acrylic sealant on them.

Ive got a few more that Im working on and Ive also been customising some papers, layering up some very fine handmade japanese tissue paper onto other, thicker paper, and using inks to colour some pearlescent paper. They are drying at the moment so tomorrow I will have a play.

To present them for selling Im folding boxes which really add that finishing touch.

I really like the Art Deco feel they have, especially the red and gold pair.
