Local Residential home is a winner

Never turn down an offer of a free table locally, you never know what might happen.

This weekend we had a sale at a local large residential home family day event
The weather was wet, but many families came to spend the day with their elderly relatives.
We were offered the table for free, only being asked to donate an item for the raffle, which was fine with us as we have several low value items that look good.
In three hours, we took £90, best takings ever. In fact, in the first 5 minutes a lady spent £60 with us in cash as her card didnt work...amazing.
They should have had us there for the whole day as people were still coming into look when we had to pack up, something to pass on to the organisers next time.
Lovely people there too, all looking to have a good day with the bar and band etc. adding to a thoroughly enjoyable sale.

Local sales may well be the way forward for us, watch this space...
