A little look at the style of Piet Mondrian.
"Having limitations or setting rules can allow you to be more creative"Piet Mondrian was born in the Netherland but lived in Paris, London and New York. He co-founded De Stijl and created the artistic style of Neoplasticism.
The pieces of art had no frame. This is because the person viewing the work should not see it as complete but continues beyond the canvas.
Eventually he reduced his work down to three primary colours of blue, red and yellow and horizontal and vertical lines. However, even with these limitations the works and works created in this style have a very Mondrian look even though they can be very different.
His style has helped to influence future art movements, design and architecture.
We hope you liked the image we created in the Piet Mondrian style. If you are thinking of starting a piece of work or adopting a particular style, just have a go. You have nothing to loose.
