Fantastical Fascinators

Last minute preparations for tomorrows Mae Kandoo workshops at Colchester Free Festival! Workshops at Tea and Sympathy in Colchester has always been a pleasure, so I was delighted when I was told they were going to be hosting a workshop tent at the Festival this weekend. I was even more pleased when faced with the proposition of running a workshop on behalf of the shop. Ive enjoyed the challenge of creating crazy hat type things from household junk - the re-cycling element is of course right up Mae Kandoos street! In true Blue Peter style therell be a few already done to prompt ideas and Ill be there to encourage makers to be as creative as they like! As well as making Fantastical Fascinators/ Crazy Hat type things! Ill be running a Cheeky Sew and Sew session. Participants can stitch their own Heart Keepsake from authentic vintage fabrics, embellish them with reclaimed and vintage trimmings and fill them with locally grown lavender. All for free! For Mae Kandoo I know it will provide a great platform to showcase workshops and am looking foward to meeting and making with festival goers throughout the day!
