Honiton Show

Honiton Show

I was at Honiton Show yesterday and despite the awful weather on Wednesday which made the show ground a quagmire for Thursday it was not too bad. I only took a few Brooches and De-coupaged things with me but sold a few of each and had a commission to make a Corgi key ring which was really strange as i was in the middle of making a Corgi Brooch so i will just adapt it to suit. On Wednesday we actually went to the Beambridge Hotel in Wellington for afternoon Tea and to watch the Polka Dot Peaches who are 3 Girls that sing songs in the Andrew Sisters style, i loved it! my other half felt very out of place as he is more suited to the Pub! I am now free for a couple of weeks, my next event is Western Counties Heavy Horse Show so i will be making lots of Heavy Horse Brooches, Key Rings and doing Paintings for that event, i took along a Clydesdale Horse Brooch yesterday and managed to sell it so i was pleased with that, so busy times coming up, i will post pictures of them as i do them and i am quite looking forward to it, also the day after i am at Buckham Fair which of course is at Martin Clunes Farm, he of course from Doc Martin and i know he also has Heavy Horses so i will be very busy for the next couple of weeks. Can you believe then we are into September, where has this year gone? when i was young the summer holidays seemed to last forever and it never rained, well we will keep on as i also have the Wessex Heavy Horse Show and Wiveliscombe Street Fair coming up in September, so if you are going to any of those and you read any of these blogs do come along and say hello, until then, best wishes from the Hills x
