8th January 2017 Happy New Year

Hi everyone and a very Happy New Year to you all.
My first spring themed piece my Daisy Dreamcatcher is now finished and I am really pleased with it. Since doing my first 2 pieces I have learned a lot. The traditional weaving for the middle of the hoops is a lot easier than I thought and I enjoy doing them but I have also found how much I love doing alternative centres like the one here.
The more flowers I make, the more I think of ways to use them. I am working on a few pieces of jewellery mainly necklaces and earrings as well as flower decorations for the tops of petal type bookmarks.
I am in the middle of designing and making 3 more dreamcatchers including a heart shaped one, perfect for Valentines Day but with only a few flower decorations.
I seem to be addicted to buying supplies so it is with hope that my work will appeal to a variety of customers. I have even treated myself to a set of pompom makers though not entirely sure what I am going to do with them yet.
I have done a little more to the craft room and have plans to spend a day next week getting as much cleared out as possible but I spend so much time designing and making that I find it hard to drag myself away.
Over Christmas I managed to spent quite a bit of time networking and keeping on top of my online shops. Hopefully I can carry that on now I am back at the day job and I know I need to make time as it is an important part of running my business.
I hope 2017 has started well for you all and remember I welcome your thoughts on my work and would love to hear from you about your own ventures.
Anne xx
