18th December 2017 Christmas

Good evening. My order books are now shut and once I finish the day job on Wednesday, I will be on a well earned break.
I am enjoying the new direction I have taken with the dreamcatchers and have my second sunflower piece here to show you. That will be my last finished piece of the year though I will be working on other pieces ready for the new year.
I have booked a place on a willow weaving course for next February to make willow hearts. I am really looking forward to being able to make my own dreamcatcher bases especially hearts as these will be perfect for wedding pieces.
I have already been on a bit of a spending spree to buy more wool, ribbon and some fabulous raffia. There are loads of ideas I want to peruse and I now have plenty of colour variations to work with.
I felt a little deflated the past couple of days, sales have been slow this year and as macramé takes a while to produce, I simply cannot compete with cheaper methods but I have always loved dreamcatchers and hope this new direction will lift my spirits.
I need to set a few goals for next year, more promotion and networking being high on the list as well as expanding both the shop here and my tictail one.
I also want to look at improving my photos to show my work to the best advantage.
I will post between Christmas and New Year, which will be the last one this year but until then I hope you all have a fabulous Christmas.
