25th September 2016 Christmas piece finished

Good evening.
Did not realise I had not posted anything last week, but my late post the week before was probably the reason.
Not too much to report. I visited the shop I mentioned the week before but it turned out not to be for me. A beautiful shop with lovely gifts but simply not able to be confident of getting the prices I want for my pieces. As the monthly rent was quite high and had to be signed up for a specific term plus commission was taken on any sales, it is not within my budget at the moment.
I have however discovered another event called yarnfest which had I known about sooner I could have attended as it was on this weekend.
As with a lot of events, it is purely by chance and with the benefit of social media that I find these events but as is often the case, it is too late to book or attend. I have now been in touch with them and hope to be able to attend in the future.
I have ordered 2 hanks of the millspun wool I love and hopefully will be able to dye this within the next few weeks.
I already have some designs on the go. I am enjoying spending time planning new pieces and sketching out elements of my designs. Until now I have used mostly traditional macramé knots but in the last few days I have been trying out other knots to incorporate in my work.
Lastly for this week, I have finished my first Christmas piece, which you can see here and will soon be in the shop window and also available via tictail.
