13th September 2016 Plans and Events

Good evening, I am a little late this week as I have been away this weekend at the Southport Air Show. It was a fantastic display and beautiful weather more like summer than the onset of Autumn.
I very rarely take any work with me when away for weekends but do spend time planning new pieces, checking Pinterest for inspiration and mulling over ideas I have for different ways of working.
My Christmas piece is almost finished and I have an idea for another piece to celebrate the festive season.
I feel very much that I have a long way to go with where I want my art to be, but by making these pieces I can see which ones work and which dont.
I have had confirmation from Earth Spirit that they still want my work in the shop. It will be 6 to 8 weeks as they are currently refurbishing the shop but I hope this will be good timing for Christmas.
I am also going to visit another fairly local craft shop who have shown an interest in my work so hopefully this may also work out.
I will be taking part on the Todmorden Open Art Exhibition again this year and have booked both a table for my jewellery and a board for my wall hangings. The Exhibition will be on Sat 5th and Sun 6th of November at the Town Hall.
It is well worth a visit if you are in the area.
It is becoming quite a busy time leading up to Christmas with the Shibden Hall craft event taking place later in November which I also hope to be taking part in.
Hopefully I will be able to update you more soon.
