21st August Winters Moon

Along with designs for Christmas I have been working on another wall hanging titled Winters Moon. Frustratingly the piece was virtually finished when I realised it just did not feel right, the crescent moon was not working as I expected. I changed the design, unknotted the piece and started again.
The moon is now a lot more visible and is a wonderful backdrop to the tree, which also had a bit of a design change along the way. I hope you will like the finished piece once I post pics of it, it will also be for sale in the shopast soon.
Although my designs are planned, it is very difficult to see just how a piece will work until it is in progress, which often means reworking part if not all of the piece until I am happy with it.
Non of my work would be offered for sale unless I would buy it myself so each piece has to be of the best quality possible and if you purchase one of my pieces you can be assured a lot of hard work and love will have gone into making it.
Also this week I have enquired about Woolfest, an event taking place next July. The details so far are that it will be in Thirsk on the 8th and 9th of July and will be for all things wool. Really hoping I can be a part of the event as I love working with wool and think it is perfect for my designs.
I also sent my details to a fairly local shop in Silsden to see if they would be interested in my work. At the moment they are fully booked but asked for photos of my pieces to keep on file, if a space becomes available.
I am still working towards my pieces being in Earth Spirit so along with the day job, there is plenty to keep me busy.
