Good evening, a late post this week as yesterday I spent most of the day working on an online shop.
I didnt want to go with etsy again, as I really didnt get on with it and I didnt want to pay for a shop as I have done that in the past and still not been happy. Fortunately I came across tictail. It already seems to be quite popular and has been going a few years, yet it is free to set up, in fact there are no fees whatsoever and the items I have looked at so far are great quality. There are some wonderful macramé pieces there already and I really hope my work will fit in.
I certainly have nothing to lose apart from time and now it is set up, it is just a matter of keeping it updated.
I have finally heard more about the festival on Saturday, it seems both myself and the friend I was doing the agricultural show with have got tables booked and we now have the venue confirmed and the set up time.
It has been a very last minute event since the original show was cancelled and Im really not sure how it will go but I have plenty of stock ready and at least we will be indoors. There are a lot of events planned all over the town so if we get some nice weather it could be a great day.
My piece for the exhibition is finally finished and will be unveiled next week once I have finished the photos. I havnt yet decided on all the pieces I will be displaying but I have another couple of weeks to make my mind up.
I think I also need to take a bit of a break from making new pieces for a while, maybe spend some time working on the online shop and promotion.
I absolutely love what I do but meeting customers and potential customers is also important and getting my work out there is necessary.
