24th April 2016

Well its been another busy week here.
My turtles havnt reached the customer yet but are in the USA so hopefully will be with her soon.
I have started 2 new pieces, an abstract blue and white piece on an 8 inch hoop and also a new tree of life on a 10 inch hoop. This uses both the cotton cord and the bakers twine in shades of green and light brown.
I would love to order some more of the bakers twine but with the price it is, I need to sell more pieces before I can do that.
There is some debate over whether the Agricultural show is going to go ahead, I will be really disappointed if it doesnt from a personal point of view as both years I have taken part in, I have done really well.
Not sure I can fit anything else in at such short notice so it may be a real loss for me.
It seems more people are getting involved in macramé as it comes back in fashion and while I think that is great for the craft, I am disappointed that many are just jumping on the band wagon whilst I have worked long and hard to learn the craft and my own style.
I was asked the other day if I did traditional dream catchers and I had to admit that I dont as there are loads of people doing them and I like to be different.
Hopefully the July exhibition at Creative with Nature will prove successful and show what I can do.
Think Im just a bit down and disallutioned to be honest, need to get my mojo back.
I wont be here next Sunday as we are away on a caravan rallye until Monday, but hopefully I will have something to show then.
Anne xx
