Hi everyone. Its been another busy week but not much to show.
I am still working on new designs. My first wall hanging is still a work in progress and I have undone it quite a few times to rework it being unhappy with the way it was going. Once I am happy with the design, I intend to copy this using my best quality cord.
The turtle is finally finished. My sample piece is made with household string and has been made into a pin cushion by putting stuffing into the shell area. The cover pic is this one.
I have made another using my new cord. This is slightly smaller but looks lovely and is gorgeous cord to knot. I intend to make more though as yet I have only acquired 2 colours. Again I have used stuffing to make a pin cushion but this could easily be removed. I am still working on the design and although happy with it, always look for improvement.
I am also working on designs to be used as coasters and would like to make a set of these along with a knotwork box to keep them in.
Most of my free time is spent working on designs and trying out the easiest/best way to make pieces but I would rather spend time on the designs and be happy with the result than just use existing designs with no input of my own.
So it is rather a slow process but hopefully by continuing to update my blog and social media even without much new work, I can show customers my capabilities and offer something quite unique.
