Bone china coffee can with unique splatter design

Make a series of seemingly random coloured ink splodges, scan, print, deconstruct by tearing the printed design and reassemble in a new configuration... and then kiln fire. This design has an almost manic energy with the irregular shapes arranged in a fan-like pattern leading from around the handle – which is itself decorated – and radiates outwards. The pattern is concentrated on one side of the can and saucer only thus increasing the stark contrast with the white bone china. As each colour is applied by hand in an unrepeatable configuration the result is a unique design statement.
