Fused glass sculptured fish
I have added fish to my nautical items. Each fish is cut from 2mm glass with glass elements added between sheets to replicate colours and texture of fish. Fused to a temperature of 784°c for 12 hours the glass melts, annuals and cools during this process. Galvanised wire is added to allow the fish to be attached to a routed hardwood base which is waxed.
This item has been popular in various galleries including The North East Art Collective, Newcastle and Thornthwaite Galleries, Keswick where I am a resident artist along with The Biscuit Factory Gallery, Newcastle, Marchmont Gallery, Edinburgh and Just Makers, Ripley Castle.
I am able to produce this in a variety of colours and a single or multiple sculptures.
