This deeply nourishing nettle butter is a celebration of slow herbalism and plant intelligence. Made with vibrant stinging nettle, patiently macerated over six weeks through a cold infusion, it draws out the full spectrum of minerals, vitamins, and protective compounds held within the leaf. Nettle has long been revered for its ability to support bone and joint health thanks to its naturally high content of calcium, magnesium, silica, and iron, while its anti-inflammatory properties make it especially supportive for tired, achy bodies. On the skin, nettle helps encourage circulation, strengthen connective tissue, and promote clarity and resilience, making this butter as restorative as it is grounding.

The infused nettle oil is carried in a golden blend of jojoba and hemp seed oils. Jojoba closely mirrors the skin’s natural sebum, helping to balance moisture without clogging pores, while hemp oil delivers essential fatty acids that calm irritation, support the skin barrier, and improve elasticity. These oils are whipped with rich shea and mango butters to create a balm that melts effortlessly into the skin, offering deep hydration, softness, and long-lasting protection. Vitamin E adds antioxidant support, helping to defend the skin from environmental stressors, while arrowroot gives the butter a smooth, velvety finish that absorbs beautifully without heaviness.

Finished with our signature Earthborn scent, this butter offers a subtle aromatic experience that grounds both body and mind. Frankincense brings a resinous, meditative depth known for its ability to support skin regeneration, improve tone, and calm inflammation, while also encouraging deep, steady breath. Neroli adds a soft floral brightness that soothes sensitive or stressed skin and gently supports emotional balance. Lime brings a fresh, uplifting note, helping to invigorate circulation, clarify the skin, and awaken the senses. Together, they create a scent that feels earthy, luminous, and quietly restorative, a ritual of nourishment for skin, joints, and spirit alike. This scent was inspired by my love for the fairy pools of the Lake District, and has quickly become the customer favourite. You can also find it in our whipped body butter range.
