The High Collar has been meticulously handcrafted from a specialist, high-quality Raku clay. Each piece is first bisque fired, then layered with a delicate crackle glaze before being transformed through the ancient art of Raku firing.

Raku is a centuries-old Japanese technique that embraces the beauty of unpredictability. The piece is removed from the kiln while still glowing hot and placed into natural materials that ignite and smoke, creating spontaneous patterns of crackle, iridescence, and depth. The result is a one-of-a-kind work — a harmonious blend of earth, fire, and air — where no two surfaces will ever be the same.
