From the shadowed roots where lantern light dares not linger comes Snagroot, the stump-sprite of sly jests and sudden tugs.

With gnarled fingers and a grin like split bark, he waits beside hidden paths, ready to clutch at boots and hems with a chuckle in the dark. Mischievous but never cruel, Snagroot’s tricks remind wanderers to tread lightly — for the forest has a playful spirit all its own.

One moment he’s there… the next, only laughter in the leaves.
