Silver Clay Textured Cross

A beautiful cross, made with silver clay and textured using vintage lace.

Jesus, the hope in my heart

A unique piece of jewellery to show your Christian faith and hopefully start a conversation. I created this by hand using silver metal clay: a mix of finely ground pure silver particles, organic binder and water. I use a mold that I made using vintage lace to give the clay texture and a cutter to create the cross shape. I then dry it to remove the water content and carefully file the edges to smooth it and define the shape. A tiny heart which has been separately molded, dried and filed is then placed on the cross, reflecting Jesus living in our hearts. The cross is then fired, burning off the binder and melting the silver particles, to leave a pendant which is 99.9 percent pure silver. Finally, I polish it by hand bringing out the texture of the vintage lace and giving the heart a high shine.

Pendant size is 1.7cm wide and 2.3cm in height.
You can choose to have a 16 or 18 necklace.
