Hippos fighting
A fun picture of two hippos fighting at Whipsanade zoo.This photo was taken on a fun day out to Whipsanade with my family and nephews and nieces when they were younger. We had a great day out and when I came home I did a painting of the hippos. Whilst exhibiting for Bucks Art Week a few years ago I teamed up with sculptor Tinei Mashaya who had made some life size hippos in South Africa and had them shipped over ! They were great ! The exhibition was at a farm just outside Stewkley and the sculptures were arranged around the garden. They were massive. They were the same size as Tom Fremantles mini ! The painting is acrylic on canvas board and is 51cm wide and 40 high.
