English National Ballet dancing figures

This is a chalk pastel piece of abstract art. the dancers performing make shapes on the canvas.

This piece is framed under glass and measures 70cm x 60cm landscape. It was made at Milton Keynes Theatre where the company were performing and was made in a rehearsal with a group of artists had come to paint the dancers. It was the second time I had worked with them as whilst doing my degree in Theatre Design at St Martins I worked for the English National Ballet on their performance of Sleeping Beauty. Everything was just the same even some dancers still there, for instance Tamara Rojo the Director now though !
