Tiger Tiger in Pastel

Original framed artwork in pastel pencil on velour paper

The photo for this artwork was taken at the Yorkshire Wldlife Park, with a little improvisation to the backround, I love tigers, and when i visit the YWP i spend hours with my camera for the one image...tiger in the water, it still eludes me, but I continue to persevere. I have painted this tiger many times.

I used black velour for this picture, as i wanted a moody feel, but I was struggling to capture the look, so reverted to type, but I still love the picture.

The picture is mounted and framed, frame size is 20 inch x 28 inch
