abstract acrylic portrait painting

This painting is influenced by the feeling and the power a gaze can have. I wanted to make you feel something when you looked into her eyes,
so I chose to complete this painting in bold abstract colours to emphasise the intensity of her gaze instead of using soft, cool tones and a blended painting. this painting was thoroughly enjoyable to paint even though it was out of my comfort zone. due to bold blocking colours and lack of blending. This allowed me to break away from being a perfectionist and experience a different style of art, which led to the influence of many further pieces.
