Mad Batter mosaic. The back board is wooden, then I made him from polystyrene, expanding foam then covered him thickly in plaster of Paris bandages. His hat is made in the same way. The leaves and roses on his hat are also made by me using porcelain clay and fired in a kiln. I made the mosaic from broken china, glass tiles. broken jewellery, beads , ornaments and a pair of spectacular false eyelashes. The mad batter is full of character and shines beautifully , he oozes cheerfulness.
