Blues bending the notes

Blues bending the notes

Guitarist with long hair against blueish/lilac background

Oil painting on 18x24 inch stretched canvas , with sides painted, so no need for framing: it is ready to be hung.
This continues my series on musicians, with this guitarist bent forward over the Naples yellow and light brown instrument, so that the long blonde hair obscures the face. One is not sure whether this is a male or female and the title indicates that the blues are being played , with the notes being bent to produce the correct feeling. The player is dressed in a dark shirt, but there is another garment, like a waistcoat in grey that can be observed. The strings of the guitar are purposely thickened in some places so as to indicate the striking and bending of the notes. The background is semi-abstract in blueish, grey and lilac tones
