Chamomile Soap

Chamomile Soap

Apple of the Earth creamy soap, great for sensitive skin

This is such a gorgeously creamy soap. With home-grown ground chamomile flowers made into a tea, its then mixed with the lye water to both scent and colour the soap to a lovely, herby colour which smells sweetly of apples (chamomile is known as apple of the ground!). Added to this is beautiful Roman chamomile essential oil and youve got a soap that makes you think of summer in the countryside. Its also a bit of a bargain as the essential oil is very expensive (why you wont easily find a chamomile soap).

Of course chamomile has a range of benefits including: teething, colic, womens health, insomnia, anxiety, depression, digestive issues, muscle tension, fever, colds flu, allergies, general aches and pains and to be honest, so much more that it would be impossible to list them all! At the end of the day though, it just smells lovely and wont dry out your skin.

Ingredients: sodium olivate (saponified olive oil) sodium cocoate (saponified coconut oil sodium shea butterate (saponified shea butter) water glycerine (a by-product of making the soap) sodium castorate (saponified castor oil). Theres also limonene - but this is already a constituent part of the essential oil and not an additive but it may be an allergen.

Because Speedwells soaps are natural soaps, coloured only with botanicals and scented only with essential oils, theyre best used within about six months from the date of purchase. Having said that, Ive used some that are older than this and theyve been perfectly fine. Also, I know theyre beautiful to look at, but at the end of the day theyre still soap, so do use them - you can always get some more! Most importantly, all Speedwells soaps are handmade in small batches, vegan, palm oil and preservative free and of course cruelty free.

For external use only. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.

As these are handmade products, weights may vary but all the soaps are between 68g - 110g depending on the mould used. The standard mould is the tree of life mould which is 110g.

We do not use single use plastic during the production or sale of this item.
