A gorgeous pair of comb and hairpin with kanzashi flowers.
This beautiful Tsumami-kanzashi is made of rayon crepe with a distinctively
crisp, crimped appearance. The flowers on a comb and hair pin are made
using the traditional Japanese Tsumami-zaiku technique and the cloth of
fabric used for them are imported directly from a long-established fabric shop in Kyoto, Japan.
The larger flowers on a hair comb are made of bright blue, green and
sand-coloured crape, while the smaller flower on a hairpin is made of chirimen
with beautiful Japanese patterns. Kanzashi is basically worn in a tied hairstyle,
so there is a deliberate 2-3 cm gap between the back of the comb and the flower.
Size/H14cm/W7cm/metal comb 5.5cm
Please kindly handle with care as chirimen is a very sensitive and delicate fabric.
The fabric may shrink and deform in shape when contact with water so please
stay away from water. It is also recommended to store them out of direct sunlight.
