Whitby Kipper Smoking Shed

Kipper Smoking Shed, two small cottages and harbour scene.

Hand crafted and inspired by a visit to Whitby, North Yorkshire. I have tried to add a harbour scene to the Kipper Shed and cottages next door. The harbour depicts a scene at low tide with a boat sitting on the mud, moored alongside a floating pontoon, both of which rise and fall with the tide. I have tried to represent the tidal heights by using water colours around the edge of the harbour. There is also a slipway to launch and recover boats into the water below, with steps above for access to the harbour side cottages. The harbour side has a railed fence in front of the cottages and Kipper Shed.
