and 128313This stunning, sophisticated decorative bowl celebrates its captivating transparent pale blue colour through its interaction with alternating cream French vanilla Bullseye glass made into a checkerboard design.

and 128313Glass pieces and stringers (fine lengths of glass) are meticulously cut into individual strips and - through a process that cannot be fully divulged - are then fused together in our kiln.

and 128313Following this, the bowl is fused over a square mould. You can appreciate the full beauty of this piece by turning it over. The other side demonstrates the art but also the chemistry of the glass flow with a visual surprise. This meticulous and delicate technique is inspired by the work of Judith Finn Conway and Kevin O’Toole.

and 128315Our Bullseye glass is hand-rolled and imported from the USA. We handcraft each product in the shop, carefully selecting colours and creating the design using designer glass. We can offer bespoke designs upon request, contact us for further information.

and 128314During the glass fusion process, small air bubbles can appear and become trapped within the glass which is a natural occurrence that adds to the beauty of handmade glass products.
