Dolores

Large Fish Mosaic -

Dolores, all my fish are named. It makes it more personal somehow, especially when I make them, they become alive and special. After designing and cutting the fish and fins, I sealed and sanded the substrata. Dolores was made with tile, beads, millefiori, metals, glass, rope, grout and glue. The rope is to hang and also follows the raised tail fins which are made from mirrored glass. The back was painted grey then, the rope added, both to hang and also follow the line of the fins. The substrata I use is recycled instead of being thrown away, the shape lends itself to the designs I use. Made to Enjoy, Dolores doesnt need feeding or the water changing - she just looks lovely all the time.
