Wood Floor Lamp with Felted Light Brown Lamp Shade

Lamp base, made from Elm wood

Lamp base, made from Elm wood. The hand-made lamp base features gentle curves, smooth surface and is finished with Osmo oil to highlight the warmth of the wood. All timber which I use in my works, is locally sourced from the heart of East Sussex. Timber has been air dried for a minimum 2 years and kiln dried for another 2-3 months. After it has been fully dried, it was shaped and crafted into the final lamp base you see here.

Lampshade
Hand felted from merino wool and silk.
Dimensions: 45cm (Diameter) x 28cm (Height)



Wood Base
Locally sourced Elm.
Wood base height from the bottom to the top of the wood is 133cm.
Overal height of the wood base with a lampshade is about 162cm.
Lamps stands on stainless steel base (33cm diameter) with rubber feet underneath.



Lamp Fitting and Components
The lamp fitting is a nickel B22 holder, wired with a 3 core braided cable.
All electrical lamp components are earthed have been tested and approved.
All lamps are designed to be used with low energy LED bulbs



Care Instructions
Simply vacuum to remove any dust. Wool is naturally fire retardant. My lampshades are backed with a fire and heat resistant backing tested to and compliant with UK fire safety standards.
We recommend the use of low energy bulbs such as LEDs. They use less energy and are cool to the touch.
