Tulips in a Green Vase with Seashell

Oil on canvas.16x12 inches. (41x30 cm).

Painted from life in the short hours of good light in February. It seemed to symbolise the coming of spring. It was enjoyable to paint. I added the shell to balance the composition and as a complementary colour to the strong greens.
