Barn owl sculpture
A beautiful unique copper sculpture of a barn owl. This owl was created with mostly individual feathers of copper that were brazed in place. The owl has been subtly flame coloured in places, leaving the chest area mainly bare copper to represent the owls natural white chest. The piece has been coated in lacquer to help preserve the colours. It has glass eyes that help bring it to life.
The owl has been attached to a 3 foot wooden post that has been charred with fire, a Japanese technique called Shou Sugi Ban and then stained allowing the natural grain to stand out.
The owl measures approximately 12 in height and 5 in width. The owl alone weighs 3kg in copper.
Totally unique piece that would grace any garden space to make a lovely feature.
