A delicate painting of pretty pink flowers
This is a beautifully-coloured painting of some little pink flowers that took over our patio last year. I have termed this style of painting a ‘Scretching’, where I scratch the outline of the flowers into the paper with a sharp metal point and then flood the paper with a watercolour wash to give a delicate, blurry finish. The paint seeps into the paper where it has been scratched and provides some definition to the flowers but this is an unpredictable process that sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t!
It is painted in Windsor and Newton watercolour on Two Rivers handmade 350gsm paper. The painting measures 28x19cm but the image is 15x21cm so should fit readily available frames. The painting can be displayed in portrait or landscape - it doesn’t really have a down or an up! It comes unmounted and unframed.
Your painting will be protected in a clear bag made from vegetable starch that is fully biodegradable and sent flat in a sturdy recyclable card envelope. A certificate of authenticity will accompany this art work.
As with all artwork, it is best to protect it behind glass and to hang away from direct sunlight.
