Miniature Forget Me Not Painting

This tiny painting is painted on an offcut of plywood. I hate throwing things away so decided to make some little miniatures inspired by the beautiful wildflowers near where I live.

It’s small enough to fit in a pocket or a bag and would make a lovely gift for someone you love. It also has a little hook at the top for hanging (although this can easily be removed if you like), or it can simply be propped on a shelf.

The plywood has been sanded and prepared with natural, non-toxic gesso and the flowers are painted in watercolours. It has then been given a coat of eco-friendly, plant-based varnish to protect it.
