Made in Sweden in the 1940s, this stunning vintage Bakelite LM Ericsson rotary telephone has been beautifully upcycled by hand into a stylish table lamp. A perfect talking piece for a livingroom, bedroom, office, bar, restaurant, or any other area.
This rare old telephone has been stripped, cleaned to remove decades of dirt and grime, and a lot of elbow grease and polish to bring the dull faded Bakelite back to its original shine. The phone has been fitted with two lamp holders with vintage style Edison LED bulbs with gorgeous old style spiral filaments producing a lovely warm glow. The telephone lamp also has an antique metal style flexible arm so that the handset can be repositioned.
These vintage style high quality LED light bulbs use up to 90 percent less energy than traditional incandescent bulbs resulting in far less heat, and have up to 30,000 hours lifespan.
In keeping with the retro style, the phone lamp also comes with a vintage style braided cable with an inline switch and a British 3amp plug.
This is an original retro phone is decades old and there is some natural wear and tear as expected, which all adds to the character of the phone.
All electrical work is new and has been carried out to a professional standard and has been PAT tested.
