Rare Upcycled Vintage Bakelite Telephone Lamp

This vintage 1950s Bakelite rotary telephone has been beautifully upcycled by hand into a stylish table lamp. A perfect talking piece for a livingroom, bedroom, office, bar, restaurant, or any other area.

This old telephone has been stripped, cleaned, and has been fitted with a vintage style Edison black smokey mirrored oversized globe LED bulb with a spiral filament emitting a lovely warm glow. The handset has also been fitted with hidden LED lights that produce a mysterious looking red glow emitting from the curved mouthpiece.

The original vintage cable connecting the handset which was worm and frayed has been replaced with a metal antique style flexible gooseneck arm so that the handset can be repositioned.

These high quality LED light bulbs use up to 90 percent less energy than traditional incandescent bulbs, and have up to 30,000 hours lifespan.
In keeping with the vintage style, the phone lamp also comes with a vintage style brown braided cable with an inline switch and a British 3amp plug.

This is an original retro phone from the 1950s, it is decades old so there may be some natural wear and tear which adds to the character of the phone.
All electrical work is new and has been carried out to a professional standard.
