Malachite, Tigers Eye and Tiger Iron come together in stunning combination.
I rescued the gorgeous malachite centrepiece I used for this necklace from a 1970s necklace that could not be repaired and I made it into a striking pendant by the addition of sterling silver beads and a sterling silver bail. The largest of the three types of beads in this statement necklace are golden tigers eye and the smaller round beads are brown tigers eye that I rescued from a 1980s bracelet and necklace set. The rectangles are tiger iron which is a naturally occurring semi-precious gemstone made up of hematite, red jasper and tigers eye which has been formed over many millennia.
The necklace measures around 20 inches from end to end, including the sterling silver clasp and fixings and the malachite is about an inch and a half in diameter. This a unique, one-off piece which is hand made by me from my home in County Durham.
Please contact me if you would prefer this piece in an 18 inch length, but please allow time for me to deconstruct and restring.
