Spherical bowl

A fairly deep bowl with a spherical base. Approximate size 18.5cm diameter x 5cm.

This bowl has been made using a technique known as frit stretching. Different red, yellow and orange frits were tack fused onto 7 small pieces of clear glass. Each of these was placed onto a pile of clear glass the same size and fired to a high temperature within a dam to allow the glass to flow filling the dam and stretching the top frit layer.
A possible use would be as a nibble dish or small fruit bowl., but it would also work as a purely decorative item.


We do not use single use plastic in the production of this item.
