Trinket Dish

Small dish in red and cream with turquoise decoration. Approximate size 8cm x 8cm x1.5cm .

This trinket dish was made from strips of red and cream glass with a clear reactive glass as a cap. Turquoise frit was then sprinkled on top before fusing in a kiln to a full fuse. The glass was then placed in a mould and reheated in the kiln to give its final shape. The glass was fully annealed in both firings to remove stress from the firing process.
The Turquoise glass contains copper, and this has reacted with the clear layer to produce the dark lines around the frit.
This dish can be used as a ring dish and can also be used as a tealight holder.


We do not use single use plastic in the production of this item.
