Large rustic wine rack
Rustic, reclaimed railway sleeper wine rack.This large wine rack has been created from a railway sleeper reclaimed from a disused mid-Wales track. It is a real statement piece of furniture. The sleeper has been stripped back to reveal the deep red colour with some silvery weathering still evident. The bolt-holes and weathered cracks enhance the beautiful character of this piece of wood.
This rack is designed to hold 12 bottles of wine but can be easily adapted to take another 6 on the other side and a further 6 on the back, if required. The two feet are created from an oak beam and they support the sleeper using two pieces of large-diameter copper pipe.
This is certainly a piece of furniture that makes a big statement whilst being very practical.
