“Professional textiles teacher with many years experience of making quality textile products.”

From my workshop in the Cotswold, I design and make a range of textile products from home furnishings to accessories.

I am a professional Textiles/Art Teacher and Head of Subject in a large secondary school, with a BA(Hons) in Graphic Design and an MA in Design and Technology Education. Inspired and encouraged by my grandmother as a young child, I cant remember a time when I didnt have the urge to create whether by making my own clothes or discovering a new craft. I am always on the look out for discarded, unwanted or good quality recycled materials and cannot bear to see beautiful fabrics and other items thrown away unnecessarily. I consider them to be an opportunity and make no excuses for being a fabric hoarder! I run a stall at local Farmers and Crafts Markets, and occasionally run sewing courses for adults, either in groups or privately on a 1 to 1 basis at their own home. I really enjoy making original items for other people and will take commissions for any product, whatever the challenge.

The need to reduce excessive and unnecessary wastage is an important factor in the choice of materials used. Unused fabrics which would otherwise have been thrown away, or beautiful vintage fabrics that can be reclaimed, upcycled or reused, are the preferred choice of materials in the majority of my products.

I have a wide range of products for sale but I am also very happy to discuss personal commissions for all products, especially if you have a particular fabric or colour in mind. Please visit my Website, Facebook, Etsy or Folksy page for further details, to buy a product, or to discuss a request for a commission.
