Handmade candles where every candle is unique, individual and different!
Running alongside my ‘day job’ as a Leadership Development Expert, Executive 121 Coach, (I have a background in Behavioural Psychology) and author of 2 Leadership books, I started Clive’s Candles to provide a ’gentle’ change in career direction – albeit part time. Well this ‘part time’ business is rapidly becoming my full time day job!
I started out a few years ago by making just one small, smelly candle and following requests from friends and family to create many more candles the business was born in early 2014.
I am really proud of my ‘handmade in UK’ badge and try to source UK products wherever I can. It really is a family business with Sue and my two sons Thomas and Charlie all helping to contribute ‘candle ideas’ and pack candles in their presentation bags (The Small Collection) – great family fun!
Sunday mornings are usually spent scouring car boots, flea markets etc. to source containers for The Eclectic Collection and it is this sourcing that makes this collection very unique and individual.
So Clive’s Candles has grown from one small, smelly candle to what you see here:
11 ‘Small Collection’ candles
6 ‘Dessert Collection’ Small Candles
16 ‘Candles In A Tin‘
Personalised and non personalised Pillar Candles
Wedding Favours and Personalised Unity candles
Remembrance and Memorial Candles
Special Occasion candles
And, of course……
The Traditional Christmas Candles (my favourite and how this all began!)
As an artisan candlemaker (or Chandler), every candle you purchase here, or in my ‘e-shop’, has been personally handmade by me with no automation whatsoever.
Therefore each candle is:
Handmade near Burton on Trent
Made with as much care that I can give it
Containers in The Eclectic Collection are sourced from car boots, flea markets etc. as I try to use recycled materials (except the candles) wherever I can
Made from British materials whenever possible
Beeswax is locally produced in Burton on Trent
