“Unique Woodland scenes incorporating dried materials and needlefelting in glass, Feathers and foral paperweights”
My love of nature and the countryside is a major influence in my craft. I create unique woodland scenes from dried flora collected from my garden and surrounding fields incorporating miniture needle felted animals into my scenes in glass globes and frames.
My love of birds, in particular my peafowl, Indian Blue, Pure Whites, Java Green and white eyed opal peafowl also influence my work, feathers from a natural moult in Aug/Sept are lovingly collected and used to make feathers hat and lapel pins, I also included other types of feathers which are all ethically sourced locally. Using different specialist drying techniques flowers are preserved forever in the shape of paper weights and also encased in glass.
