“Creator of semi-precious stone jewellery and watches, and small home decor products”
I make semi-precious gemstone jewellery, including watches, and also incorporate gemstones into my small home decor items these are made out of materials including both tumbled and natural gemstones, seashells, sea glass, feathers, driftwood and windfall twigs, glass and metal beads, assorted metal charms, and pressed and preserved leaves. My inspiration comes from my love of, and connection with, nature, and from working with crystals on a personal level. Having lived in the depths of the British countryside, and on both the east and south coasts, I love collecting things to use in my work, especially in my mobiles and wind chimes. Self-taught in my crafting, I have made things for as long as I can remember, and am always finding new ways to do things, or improve what I make.
I want my products, especially my jewellery, to be affordable to everyone, especially those who usually find semi-precious jewellery too expensive for them. I take commissions, and can make an item/items of jewellery to complete healing.
With an aim to be as Eco-friendly as I can, I aim to use as little plastic in both presentation, products and packaging as possible as a matter of fact, I rarely use plastic in my products.
A qualified and experienced crystal practitioner, another strand to my business is the variety of therapy services I offer, including Chakra balancing, gridding, and single room or whole house cleansing. I am in the process of devising workshops for small groups and one-to-one sessions from the basics of learning how to work with crystals through to healing with crystals at intermediate level. I am also aiming to have workshops up and running, in basic and intermediate jewellery making, by the end of the year.
As a qualified and experienced FE tutor for over 20 years, I feel my skills can be used in a more personally rewarding way now I am getting nearer to my twilight years, and with the demise of a decent education system for hard-to-engage learners (my learners have always been from disadvantaged backgrounds).
