“Ive been hand making bespoke fine furniture for 7 years. Each piece is unique and made with love”

Since re-training as a cabinet maker at the age of 51, I have been making bespoke furniture for private clients for the last 6 years. Until very recently I have been working entirely on commissions, but at the moment I do not have any commission work so I am currently making some small pieces as gifts to be sold at craft fairs and makers markets. The items I am making are for example wooden trinket or jewellery boxes, table mats and coasters, candle holders and coat and key hooks.

My business has been described as a glorified hobby, because I work entirely on my own from home. I do not have to make a living at what I do so I am able to charge much less than most other cabinet makers do, but I still make high quality products.

All of my furniture is made from hardwoods. I design each piece specifically for each client and specifically choose wood which has interesting figuring so that I can make each item as attractive as possible. My furniture is beautiful but also practical.
