My very first encounter of the millinery trade was in the late 80s.
I lived in small market town called Wokingham and regularly attended Ascot races which was virtually on our doorstep … people watching at the races was my favourite but it was the Hats that took my breath away.
My imagination would run wildly away with me, watching the feathers dancing in the breeze was mesmerising and the colours were spectacular.
I opened a Hat Hire Shop and started Millinery classes as I wanted to create these wonderful masterpieces…
I ran my shop for over 20 years. After taking early retirement 7 years ago I decided to focus on the dressing of hats rather than the making or creating.
This has proved to be so much fun.
We buy feathers from all over the world and we dye them, paint them we even add diamantes.
In the past we have supplied The Moscow State Circus and the West End Theatre Group with our fabulous Feathers.
We stock almost every kind of feather and colour imaginable Ostrich, Duck, Goose, Pheasant, Peacock, Fluffy Marabou , Guinea Fowl to name but a few.
They are sold in individual packs and we post worldwide.
