I am a self taught artist, originally specialising in watercolours until 2019 when I decided to take on a new challenge by working with oil paint.

Painting is my way of escaping the busy and hectic reality of day to day life. I love the freedom that painting with oils gives me, allowing my work to be more abstract and expressive.
I have a particular love of painting the sea and all things coastal, there’s something so uplifting about the vastness of the skyline sitting over the ocean.
I also find inspiration in the countryside of Cambridgeshire, where I live. The beauty of the landscape changing, sunrises and sunsets, in particular, moody skies. I capture these atmospheric elements in my paintings by embracing colour, light and tone.

My watercolour textile collection is an alternative way to display my art and I make each piece myself.

As a member of Cambridge Open Studios I enjoy attending art fairs and exhibitions and meeting fellow artists and customers.
