Owl Studios

Functional and decorative pottery, (often with an owl theme!) from my studios in Northampton

I am a freelance artist working in pottery, painting and relief printing in my studio in Northampton. A retired theatrical production manager I also work in theatre as a freelance designer, but now greatly enjoy the freedom to explore my own work.

I produce hand-crafted functional and decorative pottery, mostly wheel-thrown, and watercolour and pastel paintings taking my inspiration from the local woodland and countryside. Recently I have begun to take an interest in producing relief prints as well.

The name Owl Studios is a pun on my name, Al, but also reflects my general interest in birdwatching whilst out with my dog, Bones!

I sell my work at craft fairs, online and also work to commision.
